You’re spot on Olivier, all of those points are must dos. But to me, the one that stood out the most is “Focus on PR, not advertising.” How about a conversation on how we can do this better?

Tell you what: The first thing people need to understand about how to do PR well is don’t think of PR as what it has become. Sure, press releases are nice and necessary, but if placing stories and sending out releases is the majority of what a PR pro does for their clients, they need to seriously give some thought to how they are going to pay the bills in 2009 and beyond. 😉
And I always thought PR stood for Press Release….
